It's been nine years since the Indo-Japan Council was established in 2011. I had the opportunity to serve IJBC members and associates in different roles. I am honored and enjoyed every moment of it. Today (3rd December 2020), I will be taking over as the next president of IJBC. I understand the great responsibility of the position and legacy that my predecessors built. I hope my team and I will live up to the expectation of the community.
My top priority as a president is to bring greater engagement and participation from the Japanese and Indian communities. Making IJBC a neutral and transparent platform for all.
Historically India and Japan enjoyed harmonious and respectful relations amongst the nations. It's time for us to strengthen these relations and make significant progress for universal benefits.
We will continue to work towards our vision to encourage people-to-people connections, enhancing business, economic and cultural ties between India and Japan.
