The Indo-Japan Business Council (IJBC) brings together businesses, professionals, institutions, and students interested in meaningful collaboration between India and Japan. Through dialogue platforms, delegations, knowledge exchange, and ecosystem engagement, IJBC supports long-term partnerships across the Indo-Japan landscape.
Membership is open to organisations and individuals who wish to actively engage with this growing bilateral ecosystem.
About IJBC Membership
Established in 2011, the Indo-Japan Business Council works to strengthen practical cooperation between India and Japan across multiple domains including business collaboration, academic exchange, policy dialogue, and cultural understanding.
IJBC is not a transactional networking platform.
It is a long-term engagement platform where members contribute to and benefit from a deeper understanding of the Indo-Japan relationship.
Members participate in initiatives that encourage dialogue, knowledge sharing, and collaboration between the two countries.

Membership Categories
Membership is valid from April to March of each year.
1. Individual Associate Member
For individuals and professionals.
Fee: ₹ 5,000 per year
2. Corporate Member
For companies registered under Indian company law. Annual fees are based on turnover:
Annual Turnover Fee
Over ₹ 100 crore. ₹ 40,000
Up to ₹ 100 crore. ₹ 30,000
Up to ₹ 20 crore. ₹ 20,000
Up to ₹ 5 crore. ₹ 10,000
Application Process
Joining IJBC is simple.
1. Submit the online membership application
2. Choose the appropriate membership category
3. Applications are reviewed for alignment with IJBC objectives
4. Approved applicants receive online payment instructions
5. Membership is activated upon confirmation of payment
3. Industry Bodies & Associations
For chambers and associations engaged in trade, development, or industrial promotion.
Fee: ₹ 10,000 per year
4. Educational Institutions
For universities, colleges, schools and academic bodies.
Fee: ₹10,000 per year
5. Student Membership
For currently enrolled students.
Fee: ₹1,000 per year
Notes & Considerations
- All applications are reviewed for alignment with IJBC’s objectives
- IJBC reserves the right to decline membership without obligation to provide a reason
- Membership fees help sustain IJBC’s mission-driven programmes, member services, and public-facing initiatives
- Membership is non-transferable and non-refundable
- All membership privileges are subject to current IJBC policy
- Official receipts are issued upon payment confirmation
