At Indo-Japan Business Council (IJBC), we value your trust and are committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with applicable Indian data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA), and in line with international standards.

By submitting your information to us, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Accuracy of Information

You confirm that all information and documents submitted to IJBC are true, accurate, and complete to the best of your knowledge.
Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information may result in rejection of your application or termination of services without notice.

2. Data Security Measures

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of your data, including encryption and secure storage.
However, while we strive for industry-level protection, no digital system is completely immune to breaches.

3. Consent and Purpose Limitation

You grant IJBC your specific and informed consent to process your data solely for the following purposes:

• To assess your business inquiry and facilitate potential Indo-Japan collaboration;
• To share relevant information with IJBC’s verified expert panel and/or Japanese counterpart(s);
• To contact you for clarifications or relevant follow-up related to this inquiry;
• To retain anonymized insights for reporting or policy purposes.

We will never sell your data to advertisers or share it with unrelated third parties without your explicit, additional consent.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

Your data will be stored only for the duration necessary to process your request and manage resulting collaboration opportunities.

• Application Data: Will be deleted within 6 months of submission, unless the process is ongoing.
• Basic Contact Info (Name, Phone, Email): May be retained for internal archival and communication purposes.
• You may request deletion of your contact data at any time by emailing helpdesk@ijbc.org.

5. Lawful Use & Legal Compliance

You undertake that all use of IJBC’s platform, connections, and facilitation services shall be for lawful business purposes only.

You agree not to use the platform:

• For any activity prohibited under Indian or Japanese law, including money laundering, fraud, or data misuse;
• To misrepresent your company or its credentials;
• For solicitation unrelated to the stated purpose of Indo-Japan collaboration.

IJBC retains the right to report any suspected misuse to relevant authorities.
